Your Assessment Journey
Initial Consultation:
We discuss your concerns and your child’s history. We’ll gather important background information that helps us tailor the assessment to your unique needs.
Professional Testing:
1-2 hour evaluation including a series of structured activities and standardized tests to assess reading, writing, math, memory, attention, and processing speed.
Results:
Feedback explaining findings and providing clear recommendations to support both the client and their family, detailing strengths and specific improvement strategies.
Written Report:
We explain what your findings mean, answer any questions you may have, and provide personalized recommendations for support at home, work, and at school.

What to Expect
How do I know if my child needs testing or just extra tutoring?
If your child has been receiving extra help for months without meaningful progress, or if their academic struggles seem out of proportion to their intelligence and effort, assessment can provide crucial clarity. You don’t need to wait until they’re failing to seek answers.
Will this testing label my child or hurt their confidence?
Most children feel tremendous relief discovering there’s a specific reason for their struggles. We explain to children that learning differences mean their brain works in unique ways – not that anything is wrong with them. Many report feeling better knowing they’re not “lazy” or “dumb.”
What if the results show my child doesn't have a learning disability?
Even if formal learning disability criteria aren’t met, you’ll gain valuable insights into your child’s learning style, processing strengths, and areas needing support. This information helps with educational planning and support regardless of formal diagnoses.
How long will it take to see improvement once we know what's wrong?
Every child is different, but many families notice positive changes within weeks of implementing recommendations. The most immediate change is often reduced frustration and improved confidence once your child understands why certain tasks have been difficult. Academic improvements typically develop over months as new strategies become routine.
Can adults get tested too, or is this only for children?
Adults can absolutely benefit from learning disability assessment. Many adults seek testing to understand lifelong academic challenges or to obtain workplace accommodations. It’s never too late to understand how your brain works best.

How do I pay my bill?
Insurance Coverage: We accept most major insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Quartz, Aspirus Arise, United Healthcare, Aetna, and many others. To verify your benefits and explain your coverage, we recommend verifying with your insurance provider.
Self-pay options: If you don’t have insurance coverage, we offer transparent self-pay rates with flexible payment plans and sliding scale pricing available for qualifying families.
Convenient Scheduling: We provide daytime, after-school, and weekend appointment options, with same-week assessments frequently available. Online testing sessions offer additional flexibility, and you can always adjust appointment format based on your family’s preferences.
