Meagan Chasteene, LPC-IT, received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Prescott College. Meagan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at San Diego State University. Meagan takes an integrative approach to counseling, customizing theoretical orientation and counseling modalities based on a client’s individual needs. With a previous career in exotic animal training, she specializes in experiential approaches that incorporate ideologies of animal-assisted therapy, nature and adventure-based counseling, and Gestalt techniques to help clients connect more deeply with themselves and their environment.
In addition to experiential work, Meagan draws from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Rogerian person-centered approaches. She is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and compassionate space where clients can explore challenges, build insight, and foster resilience. Meagan values the healing potential of combining structured interventions with creative, hands-on experiences that encourage self-awareness, growth, and empowerment.
Meagan has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who present with ADHD and autism, as well as individuals navigating trauma. She is particularly passionate about supporting clients who struggle with anxiety, PTSD, and related stressors. Her clinical focus is on helping individuals recognize their strengths, develop coping strategies, and move toward greater emotional regulation and personal fulfillment. Through her integrative and client-centered approach, Meagan empowers clients to not only process difficulties but also discover meaningful ways to thrive.
