Dr. Marielle Mathews, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist serving children, adolescents, and young adults. With over 20 years experience working in schools, along with advanced training, she brings a unique perspective to the assessment process. Dr. Mathews graduated from Immaculata University with her master’s in Counseling Psychology and certification in School Psychology. She continued on to complete her doctoral degree in Psychology (Psy.D.) at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). Dr. Mathews does not look at primarily symptoms, but she identifies how symptoms can impact areas of functioning such as home life and in the classroom. Her goal is simple: to identify what is currently happening and what to do next.
Dr. Mathews is one of few providers who has spent decades working inside of school systems while also providing evaluations and therapy. Because children and adolescents spend most of their day in school, challenges often show up there first. Dr. Mathews works to bridge the gap between the school and outpatient services so recommendations are realistic, meaningful, and applicable to daily life. Dr. Mathews looks forward to working with clients who need a clear direction forward following the assessment process.
