Kayla Ennett, PsyD is a licensed psychologist with 12 years of experience in the mental health field. She graduated with a master’s in counseling from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a doctorate in psychology from California Southern University. She has worked across a variety of settings including inpatient clinics, school systems, correctional environments, and alongside military members, veterans, and their families. These diverse experiences have shaped her clinical perspective and led her to specialize in working with individuals and couples navigating mood disorders, personality dynamics, and complex relationship and sexual concerns.
Dr. Ennett’s therapeutic approach is collaborative, direct, and grounded in realism. She works with clients to identify patterns, explore underlying causes of distress, and develop practical, achievable goals for meaningful change. She believes therapy should be an active and individualized process where clients feel both supported and empowered to move forward in alignment with their values.
She integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman Method, and Imago Therapy. Dr. Ennett is also trained in sexual recovery therapy, allowing her to support clients in areas that are often complex, sensitive, or underserved.
