Joy Kolbe-Taylor, LPC-IT, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Training. She earned her B.S. in Biology with a health/physiology emphasis from University of Wisconsin – Platteville. She received her M.S.E. in Professional Counseling with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health from University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh.
While completing her practicum and internship experiences, Joy worked with many populations, but particularly with neurodivergent folks and those with eating disorders. Joy takes a holistic approach to therapy by integrating neuroscience into sessions to help cultivate self-compassion and empowerment. She is committed to creating inclusive, empowering spaces where clients feel heard, valued, and supported in their journey toward healing and growth. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in integrating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) based techniques, inclusive theories, and person-centered approaches to provide well-rounded care. Joy is an empathic provider who works alongside her clients to help support lasting growth.
