Cynthia Carlson, MA, LPC, MFT is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Marriage & Family Therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families facing behavioral challenges. Her compassionate, systemic, and client-centered approach promotes healing, self-acceptance, and lasting change.
Cynthia specializes in working with children and adolescents in both the Treatment Foster System and private practice. She believes that taking a collaborative, strengths-based approach is key to empowering clients and their families. With extensive experience in the foster care system, Cynthia is skilled at addressing the unique challenges that foster children and families encounter.
Her trauma expertise is enriched through training in a range of research-proven modalities, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic Therapy, enabling her to tailor treatment to the individual needs of her clients.
