Patricia Gumz, MSW, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

 

Patricia Gumz, MSW, LCSW, has been working in the social work profession since 2013. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Service Leadership from UW-Oshkosh and a Master’s in Social Work from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. Tricia has worked in the school systems as a school social to create home, school, and community connections to support children and families. She shifted her focus to clinical practice in 2019 and continues to have a passion for helping others.

Patricia has worked with a variety of clients since starting her journey and prefers adults (18 & up) at this time. She uses an integrative approach, based on the client’s needs including cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, brief, and motivational therapies. Crisis intervention also plays a large part in her role with clients.

Patricia believes in providing empathy, understanding, and guidance while engaging with clients. She is open-minded, positive, nonjudgmental, and determined in her role as a psychotherapist.
