Meena Statz, MEd, CRC, LPC, is a certified rehabilitation counselor and a Wisconsin licensed professional counselor. Meena holds a bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from UW-Madison and a master’s degree in rehabilitation psychology from Pennsylvania State University.

Meena has over a decade of experience in working with adults to address mental health concerns; achieve behavioral goals; navigate life transitions; and cope with disability/chronic illness.

Meena also has a passion for working with people who experience chronic suicidal ideation and self-injurious behaviors. Meena utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy, talk therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and art/creative outlets. Meena is also a certified yoga teacher and meditation instructor. She incorporates mindful movement into sessions as needed and requested.

Meena has specific training in substance abuse recovery and therapy for those who identify as having an Autism Spectrum Disorder with a co-occurring mood disorder. She is also focused on providing disability allied, as well as BIPOC and LGBTQIA affirming, services. Meaning, therapy will take into consideration all parts of a client’s identity. Meena is client-centered, meaning you make your goals and cooperatively decide how you will achieve them.
