Lou is an internationally recognized authority on services for children and their families; and is a frequent presenter at professional conferences throughout the world. He is the author of six books on children with special needs. He is the author of the Rossetti Infant-Toddler Language Scale, currently used worldwide.

He is the founding editor of Infant Toddler Intervention: The Transdisciplinary Journal, and has been named a fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

The Medical College of Wisconsin has Conferred on Lou Rossetti, PhD the Outstanding Medical Student Teacher Pin and Letter Award for teaching excellence in the preceding academic year, advancing student learning, and providing added value to the medical student’s experience.
