Advanced Practice Social Worker

 

John Roherty (APSW), is an Advanced Practice Social Worker.  He earned his Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2023. Before that, he earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2021. While there, he double-majored in Psychology and Spanish, and he minored in Ethnic and Racial Studies.

John takes great joy in establishing collaborative connections with a diverse range of clients which are rooted in trust and empathy. John employs an eclectic, strengths-based approach when working with clients. He utilizes techniques from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), play therapy, and behavioral theories. John has developed specific interest in trauma, and he proudly practices trauma-informed care.”
